Welcome to Les Chemins de la Rose, a natural rose garden located in Doué-en-Anjou, 18 km from Saumur and 42 km from Angers. This exceptional garden in the Loire Valley welcomes individual visitors, families and groups in a peaceful, natural setting. Allow 1 to 2 hours to explore the rose collections at your own pace, with rest areas, benches and hammocks throughout the garden. The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility, pushchairs and leashed pets. Free parking for 100 cars is available at the entrance, and campervans are welcome free of charge. The rose garden is located at Parc de Courcilpleu, Doué-en-Anjou (49700), on the D960 road towards Cholet. It is situated 18 km south-west of Saumur and 42 km south-east of Angers, in the Loire Valley. GPS coordinates: latitude 47.185534, longitude -0.313443.

Is there free parking at the rose garden?

Yes, a free enclosed car park with approximately 100 spaces is available for cars and coaches, with direct access to the rose garden. Campervans are also welcome free of charge, day and night (France Passion scheme). A fast electric vehicle charging point is available nearby, at the Bioparc zoo roundabout.

Is the rose garden accessible for people with reduced mobility (wheelchair users)?

Yes, the paths and areas are mostly adapted for wheelchair users, although assistance may be required in some areas. Adapted toilets are available on the terrace. The restaurant and the entire route are accessible by wheelchair and pushchair.

Are dogs and pets allowed in the rose garden?

Yes, pets are welcome in the garden, provided they are kept on a lead at all times. Owners are kindly asked to bring a bag for droppings.

Can I have a picnic in the rose garden?

Picnics are not permitted inside the garden. However, picnic areas are available nearby.

How long does a visit to the rose garden take?

A visit typically lasts between 1 and 2 hours. Additional time can be spent at the tea room and the shop.

Is there a restaurant or catering on site?

Yes, a restaurant is open with free access. Lunch service is available from May to the end of August. It is fully accessible by wheelchair and pushchair. High chairs and bottle warmers are available on request.

Can I visit the rose garden by bike?

Yes. The Loire à Vélo cycling route includes a 30 km loop passing through Doué-en-Anjou. To reach the rose garden by bike, we recommend using the back road that runs alongside the park rather than the D960.

Are there activities for children at the rose garden?

Yes, a secure play area is available for children. Kick scooters and balance bikes are permitted, with respect for the garden and other visitors. The entire route is accessible by pushchair.
